I almost entered NM as my pick for this year's SI Resource Stock Picking competition, but at the last minute switched to MIRL, with SOLG also in the running.
BTW, I finished third two years ago, second last year, and just collected my 5 ounce silver coin for winning the latest contest, which was a nice surprise as I had thought we were competing only for bragging rights.
I have some NM shares from its previous incarnation as PPG, so am hoping they find enough PMs to make a mine. We'll know in a year or two. I actually think NM, SOLG, and MIRL will all do well this year.
I have also been accumulating RIO.V shares. This is the company put together by Alex Black using most of the people with whom he did so well at RIO.TO before selling out to the Tahoe idiots so they, in their usual blundering fashion, could ruin what his team had created. I made out like a bandit with the old Rio so hope I can do as well with Rio2.
