In July 2018, the official opening of the international financial center "Astana" will be held . By signing the Decree on the establishment of the financial center, the president of Kazakhstan explained that he would become the core of the financial infrastructure of Kazakhstan, a further financial hub for the entire Central Asian region. According to the manager of IFC Kairat Kelimbetov, development of the capital market, asset management market, wealth management market for private individuals, development of new financial technologies will be the key development directions for the next few years.

The financial center is created according to the experience of Dubai, it will be located on the territory of EXPO-2017 in Astana and will use modern infrastructure and advanced technologies. All clerical work on the territory of the IFAC will be in English. In IFAC will apply English law. The jury has already sworn in and is ready to begin work.
