No, channel expansion is growing the number of ways/places your products can be sold. So it's adding a storefront if you're an online retailer, or adding an online sales application if you're a brick and mortar store. Or adding a distributor in Europe/Asia/wherever. Or selling your products in multiple chains of stores (walmart, home depot, etc.) instead of just one.

In your example of real estate, it would be possibly similar to adding your house on zillow and trulia, placing an ad in the local newspaper, listing with an agent, etc., to make multiple ways for a potential buyer to see your house.
