My 2 cents..........

I'm going to stick my neck out here with how I feel about all this Bullshit. Sorry if you are offended by my description, but that is how real people describe things sometimes.

For years the electorate railed over the elite running our government and clamored for a citizen President. We (you may or may not include yourself) were tired of professional politicians that had mastered the art of sugar coating the words they used to deceive us. We often discovered that what they said was not really what we thought they said.
Therefore we became suspicious of everything they told us.

Then along comes Trump. He began by offering plain talk. "Mexico is not sending us their best people. Many come here for government handouts and to smuggle drugs." Many of us heard and understood that for what it meant. And others, that preferred delicate, sugar coated speech, allowed the media to convince them, by twisting that into "Trump is a Racist".

And so went the remainder of the campaign. Plain statements turned into twisted interpretations. A portion of the elitist electorate could not wean themselves from trying to interpret plain talk. But "WE" heard him and loved it. He talked like us when we gathered for a beer or watched a football game on our day off from work. He called what the elite described as Jihadists as what they really were "Radical Islamic Terrorists". He did not quibble about the solution to that. "We will destroy them and do it very fast", instead of offering our tax dollars to try and buy their friendship.

He said out loud what many of us common people already knew and politicians refused to admit. NAFTA and subsequent trade deals were of benefit to others, at our own expense. It was plain and simple truth. We, Americans, Black, Brown, Yellow and White were getting screwed.

And so Trump was elected, in spite of the twisted interpretations of the media and their elitist followers who gobbled up what Trump plainly said was "Fake News". Again, Plain Talk. He did not warn Syria and then back down. Instead he authorized the use of the "MOAB" (the Mother of All Bombs). He did not sugar coat that action. It was plain to Syria, Russia and the rest of our adversaries that Trump would not plead or make excuses in the name of political correctness. And we cheered.

So, is it any wonder that he said we are getting immigrants from the "Shit Holes" of the world? What is amazing to me is, that anyone is surprised at his comment. And more so, I am surprised that there are some who voted for him, that would rather now, revert back to the "Sugar Coated" language we found so offensive just a little more year ago. That some Trump supporters have reverted back to believing the elitist politician's sugar coated words are or would be more effective. Why do we now want our president to speak any differently than we do, when we talk amongst ourselves about those very same countries?

Are we now going to side with the smooth talking appeasers over a few coarse words, that we ourselves use? Do we want Trump to become one of those smooth talking politicians we abhorred and replaced with one of our own? Are we again going to revert back to letting the pundits and talking heads tell us what we need?

Not me. I like Trump just the way he is. I will remind all of you old enough to remember Ali. He was bluster. He was offensive to us. He was the one everyone once loved to hate, because he put forth an image for his own purpose. And when he died, how was he remembered? He was certainly not perfect. But he was certainly not remembered for being insensitive and uncaring.

I say let Trump call a spade a spade and a Shit Hole a Shit Hole. I don't expect anything more from him than I do myself. I want the "Wall" I want the end to "Chain Migration". I want the end to "Lottery Visas". And if he has to call some countries Shit Holes to accomplish that, so be it.
