Hi J_Dean. Per my most recent posts I found that Hellix has indeed been delisted by TSX. It was then moved to the NEX on TSXV then moved to OTC Pink (US). The son has indeed lost his ability to act as a broker because of failure to comply with reporting rules. He was suspended by FINRA for failure to appeal within 30 days. Failure to report is not a criminal act. You have to report your status to FINRA if you wish to comply. With all this being said they still trade on OTC Pink and no criminal acts by Hellix itself have been reported that I could find. I included the some of the documentation in a recent post.
