I think it's going to be nastier when more of this gets out that probably 70% of your online surfing has been mining for bitcoin without your permission or knowledge.

Any site that keeps you on the site for awhile- like IHUB, can potentially be using your computer and bandwidth to make them money in bitcoins. I wouldn't be surprised to find out major news sites, yahoo and microsoft are mining on your dime.

Valve gaming years ago was sued and lost about mining in their client software you need to run on your computer and recently toontime has been found to have mining code in their stuff.

My systems too old to do mining.
I think I'd like to see bitcoin go entirely away or made that it can't be mined with a active internet connection. Which I don't think it needs actually as it is. If you could stop absolutely all bitcoin mining going on actively on the internet today, I'm willing to bet the whole backbone would speed right up.

I also read about that streaming with videos.
