RioTinto puts its faith in driverless trucks...
This has nothing to do with our travails in the lithium space today... but I find the idea of driverless machines on a mining site quite intriguing. It might be that one day a RioTinto operator sitting on a overstuffed comfy leather chair (much like Jeremy's chair in Vancouver) in a nice clean air-conditioned office on the edge of the mining site could be running a multi-billion dollar mine from the computer on his desk like playing PAC-Man gobbling up the dirt/rock/ore... or salt/brine and simply tossing the material in gigantic RC toy trucks. Look ma! No hands!

Since there won't be any news on our project until after the December 17 election I thought I would at least add some mildly thought-provoking color stories for today. The Comunista Chilean labor unions would not be in favor of this move by Rio Tinto to driverless trucks since nearly 25% of our population are basically truck drivers... and speaking of comunistas, they threw their support behind presidential candidate Guillier this morning click here, but the people in the accompanying picture look a little too plump to me to be good true-blue comunistas.
