How many of you saw the movie..."Passion of the Christ". If so you remember very well the part of the movie that the beating, scourging and crucifixion took place. Im thinking that was probably spot on to the happenings that last day of Jesus earthly life as a man. And when i think of that...the horror of what Jesus endured through that beating and scourging that day and it was to within a inch of His life...and probably the only reason that He lived through that beating is because He was man but Jesus was also still God. Then i think how Jesus hung nailed to a cross for six hours and died a horrific death..for me! And He did that not because He wanted to as a man...He knew the pain that was headed His way...but because Jesus loved you and me so much He wanted to pay our sin debt in full and give us the opportunity to spend forever in heaven with Him. For me...after 40 years of living my life for satan and the evil and wickedness that went with that lifestyle...i finally realized the truth and accepted Jesus invitation and received His free gift of salvation....free to me but it cost Jesus dearly! So today i realize with all my heart, mind and soul what Jesus did for me....for little ole Rick Sane. And i also know that Jesus walks every step of this earthly path with me...so...what does that mean? That means that every word that i say...Jesus hears. Everything that i do...Jesus sees. Every thought that i have...Jesus knows. There is nothing in the life of Rick Sane that Jesus misses nor does He overlook. So what is my point...in my life knowing what Jesus did for me...and i think about the fact that Jesus is with me every second of everyday. i want to do my very best to be the man that he wants me to be and by His presence in my life make every effort by any means to turn my back to sin...i dont want to do anything to cause Jesus to look away from me with a tear in His eye because of my sin. Jesus shed many tears and much blood for me on Calvary that day...i dont want to cause Him to do the same for me these 2000 years later because i think i can sin freely and its no big deal. It is a big deal when i sin..in some way...when i sin...its like driving the spikes in Jesus hands and feet all over again! Did you ever watch the "Passion of the Christ"...Think about it!
