This is sad. I really enjoyed all the discussions Bob and I had. Prayers to his family

In Loving Memory of
Robert J. "Bob" Zumbrunnen
1959 - 2017
Robert (Bob) James Zumbrunnen , 58, of Independence, passed away on November 15, 2017 at his residence. Bob was born on March 19, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio.

Bob graduated High School in Spring Hill, KS and went on to join the United States Army and served in the U.S. Army Band. Bob married Robin (Purtle Rodgers) Zumbrunnen in 1987 and they divorced in 2010. He was father to a step-son, Eric Rodgers, and daughter, Liza Zumbrunnen.

Bob loved his children, music, motorcycles, big machinery, cats, reading, and anything related to cars. He was an accomplished trumpet and piano player and could play several other instruments. Bob enjoyed racing school for many years of his life and was an instructor. He had a great sense of humor and was extremely intelligent. Bob was an entrepreneur and founded and ran more than one business during his life. His area of expertise was in online financial chat services and online bulletin boards.

Bob is survived by his daughter Liza Zumbrunnen, step-son Eric Rodgers, ex-wife Robin Zumbrunnen, parents John and Carol Zumbrunnen, sisters Leanne Riley Zumbrunnen and Peggy Zumbrunnen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to provide musical instruments for children who could not otherwise afford them. Please make donations at http://bandofangelskc.org/donate/ or visit any Kansas City area Meyer Music Store.

To leave a special message for his family please use the "share memories" tab above.

Just my opinion, of course.
