The worst the MMs can do to POTN....
is naked shorting. I believe that was one of the many reasons to go from T+3 to T+2 settlement this yr. Assuming there was in fact nakedshorting going on, T+2 makes it harder to come up with the long shares that were supposed to be involved in the short-sale.
