I'm sure many have seen the rollout of the Tesla semi tractor yesterday. I found it interesting that experts do not know what the cost of this truck will be. Not one mention of the actual weight either. As we know the more weight in the vehicle the less payload it can haul.

As many may remember the cost of Lithium is going through the roof as we speak.

Bottom line!! Westport / CMI is in a very good position to capture much of the 250,000 units of class 8 vehicles in 2018. Diesel power will still get the bulk of these orders but I wouldn't be surprised if Westport captures a much bigger percentage than anyone expects.
