OS has less to do with company success than you think, think about it, higher OS means greater opportunity for shareholders to maximize profits, I sorta see your logic that lower OS = more shareholders holding shares = fuel to company success. But, I think you are being a bit pessimistic here, because really if you think about it logically, higher OS = larger profit margin for shareholders and ultimately greater profitability for the company & its shareholders.
