Here's another voip patent. Sounds like it has something to do w/routing or similar, not sure. But anyway it got me thinking... VPLM has categorically stated that all voip service providers everywhere are, just by the very nature of the operation of voip, infringing. Ok... So I also notice that the many voip service providers out there also own many many voip patents. Obviously, like the above patent, they are not the same patents as vplm's. So does this then mean that many of them are invalid patents? I'm not talking about the ones that are totally unrelated to vplm's patents, but obviously, all these many companies must have patented processes to operate the basic tenets of voip. So either they are valid patented processes, which would mean they are legit, not infringing, or, they are somehow the same as vplm's. If so, how did they get it? What about all the vsp's that were operating before the vplm patents were awarded. This whole thing stinks. I think shareholders of vplm should pray for developments that will allow the pps to rise & fall enough for smart ones to do some trading & make some profits. I don't see the pps going very high ever again, only lower & lower. I hope I'm wrong.
