Well I do admit that I once bought a penny stock as a newbie. Didn't throw a lot of money at it; and learned my lesson.

I used to follow some of the more outlandish penny stock boards here but it was the SOS just a different ticker.

I now stick to companies I know and try and pick a target gain that I'm comfortable with.

For the longest time I owned DUK since I'm in NC and held patiently until they finally merged with Progress Energy.

Every once in awhile I get some out of the blue PM from someone here about some stock. They go right in the trash.
