Hi Marilynt. That is a very open ended question because there are many types and brands, depends on the software and all this is a personal taste and utilization that works for you.
The only thing constructive I can say is I don't think you would have too much trouble learning how to use one.

Now someone out there would know if an ipad is adequate to use with stocks.
Are you intending to use a complete stock trading platform on an Ipad?
Are you just going to go to a browser you like and watch stuff?
There's a lot more questions than answers with your original question.

I'm afraid that isn't much help so far.
