I listened to the same interview. The company is offering multiple payment methods for its products including bitcoin. They offered this option before the Chinese restrictions were announced. Dosent look like they are consciously seeking to bypass any regulatory bodies in China but instead offering the consumers there options for payment and privacy. Thanks
