I've never seen any evidence that anyone who has ever purchased shares "long" here has ever managed to sell. I believe that every share sold is actually sold short from the so-called "other side" and some of the buy activity is likely just buy to cover activity. It seems as though the first order of operations when a buyer steps up to buy "long" is to fill their order with phantom shares sold short instead of using the shares already available on the ask.

To me the way this stock is labelled caveat emptor is a very strong indication that if there is truly a scam in play here, it will go on truly forever, with all the accountability placed on the buyer and no liability for the scammer.
