Eland Oil & Gas started drilling its Opuama-7 well located on the OML 40 in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. According to the company, the first drilling results are encouraging.
“We are very pleased with the positive start of operations on Opuama-7 and look forward to achieving the initial production targets of 5,900 bpd starting in October,” said George Maxwell, CEO of the company. Updates will be published in the coming days.
According to Maxwell, management is satisfied with the efforts to monetize the crude produced on the OML 140 license, which is delivered to the Forcados terminal.
