As born-again believers...we are the extended light and hand of Jesus. Do we really understand that? Just as Jesus is the light of the world, we also are to be a light unto other folks that we come in contact with each day by living just as Christ did when He walked this earth as a man. And its also our responsibility to help and do for others in a way that helps draw them closer to Jesus. Our job..so to speak..is to let Jesus love shine from us to a lost and wicked world thru our actions and our outreach to the lost and hurting. We have to remember that the unsaved world keeps the born-again christian folks under a micro-scope. They just wait for us to mess up and act just like them and the world so they can point their finger and laugh at the hypocrite christian. Our every action and word is watched by the world hence comes the worth of our witness and testimony as a believer. When the world sees us doing the same things they are doing...our witness is tarnished and to the world...once it is tarnished it stays that way...we lose our effectiveness in serving Jesus! As we know a simple little match can start a forest fire...so can the flame of our good example actually change the lives of others without us knowing it. We have much responsibility as believers...our actions and words can help turn someone towards Jesus or help them stay in satan's corner. Think about it...is our life a living example of Jesus? When other folks watch us do they see the love of Jesus working in our lives all the time...or...just now and again? Do the unsaved people around us think...i want what they have?
