What's Our National Security Really Worth? Patriot One Technologies (PTOTF)
August 22, 2017 9:28am PDT

Dear SmallCap Network Members,

Finally, a little relief for stocks. Not only is it a welcomed event, it comes at a time when the bears are really starting to come out of the woodwork. But, we all know the bears continue to be pushed back into hibernation over and over again for several years now. Let's hope they're sent right back into the woods this time too.

Today, I'm going to go a little op-ed on a subject I'm pretty passionate about - terrorism - and how I think one company in Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PTOTF) could end being one real viable solution on a subject that needs many.

First, we all know what took place over in Spain, and then before that in Charlottesville, and then on so many other occasions in recent years.

If you don't think Charlottesville was terrorism, think again. To me, terrorism is any act of violence where peace is preferred. We all have the right to protest peacefully anywhere we want as long as we get the necessary permits to do so, and more importantly do it in a way that is non-threatening in terms of physical abuse. And for the record, I take no position whatsoever on either side of anything, except that I'm totally against any individual or group who is willing to commit any act of violence - even if it's throwing a bottle or a rock at someone else.

Trump, last night, made it very clear our very own administration in recent years has failed to do its part to circumvent the horrific acts of terrorism that continue to take place around the world. Honestly, what is any country's military defense or police efforts worth if it's single most important goal isn't to protect its people and their rights?

The media loves to make the topic so complicated and so elaborate, but is it really all that complicated? When there's violence, get to the root of it and do something about it - at all costs. Period.

Well, Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PTOTF) is trying to do its part as a company and provide an opportunity for investors who welcome additional security technology to help identify potential threats before they occur. The company aims to address the spread of active violence through superior detection technology that instantly identifies concealed weapons.

Although the stock continues to languish from a trading perspective, the company has actually made several inroads to suggest the company's future could be one that's very well received around the world.

Current technology requires compliance on the part of the target subject. With a fixed installation at a secure facility, perimeter controls require costly operator manpower and can be avoided during a dedicated assault. Individual screening with equipment that requires line-of-site and millimeter bandwidth scans are slow and prone to operator errors or false-positive results along with increasing privacy concerns. Expensive and slow, increased deployment of large fixed detection equipment will inevitably shift threats to "softer" less secure targets.

Practical detectors must be reasonably priced, small, covertly located, simple to operate, safe to health, have an intelligent yes/no decision making capability, and possess a low false alarm rate in the presence of strong relative interference and a background of innocuous normally carried metal.

Patriot One Technologies in partnership with researchers from Canada's McMaster University have developed a solution that employs near field radar in a manner that addresses all the factors outlined above in a cost-effective system that is being developed for commercial application in public locations within a realistically short time-frame.

Basically, the company's PATSCAN CMR is a first-of-its-kind covert primary radar screening device and software solution for the detection of on-body concealed weapons at key access points of weapons-restricted buildings and facilities. PATSCAN is an easily concealed, cost-effective and non-invasive full body scanning technology that is proven, practical and safe.

The company recently announced its award-winning PATSCAN CMRTM (Cognitive Microwave Radar) concealed weapons detection system has met Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC) regulatory requirements, as verified through a series of tests by an accredited 3rd party laboratory.

Now, it's a matter of getting federal and local governments, as well as large commercial and public event venues, to accept and adopt the technology in an effort to stave off potential future threats.

I look at it this way, we spend billions - if not trillions - of dollars every year on everything from political lobbying to global warming initiatives, but how come we don't make public security the single biggest expense in this country, or any other country for that matter?

It's almost as if all of the rhetoric is nothing more than a bunch of media and political spewing in an effort to actually attract and create even more violence, when in fact we should all be embracing the idea of much safer streets on our own local turf. Go figure.

I for one, can't stand the general media these days, and have gotten pretty darn tired of seeing either side of the political aisle argue over so many stupid things when in fact they really should agree on one thing - stopping any and all violence - no matter who, where or why the committing party thinks they have some sort of right to it.
