AMRN options are, or should be, officially dead until 2018 - utter waste of money unless you want to play with puts, but time to do that was when the pps was +$4, not now.

I remember first hearing of a Siren call in school while learning about Homer's epic poem the Odyssey.

Also, something the young whippersnappers here probably aren't aware of, fire depts. once used their station sirens for two reasons (dunno if they still do this in the smartphone/everyone has a bigscreen TV age) - a constant siren was a call for volunteers to race to the station to board engines for a fire, and two long blasts of the siren was a warning of impending doom, like a tornado or nuclear emergency/attack. I was taking my critical for scholarship money SATs in high school on a Saturday morning during the 3 Mile Island crisis in 1979 (lived ~ 25 miles downwind of it) when the local fire station released two blasts from it's siren - scared sh*tless**, we were told to put our pencils down and go out into an open area (so nobody could cheat looking at other's tests) while the teachers administering the test scrambled to find info on whether we were supposed to evacuate or not - thank god it turned out to be a malfunction of the siren system!

** We all had bags packed to drive out to western PA to stay with grandparents if evacuation was ordered - unbeknownst to us at the time, Dad had bought a shotgun and stored 10 gals of water in our sorta hidden indoor cool cellar - he was going to stay to protect his castle from thieves while Mom drove us away.
