UKSH is one of the largest university hospitals in Europe
and the only comprehensive care hospital in Schleswig-Holstein, the northernmost of the 16 federal states of Germany. They are one of the largest European centers for medical care, and have approximately 2,400 inpatient beds, 13,000 employees, 80 clinics and more than 360,000 patient cases annually. They are currently launching one of the largest clinical construction projects in Europe of which Fresenius is part of that modernization and includes a contract to Fresenius for technical management for 30 years.
