So here is how it works...so to speak...in case you dont know. At some point in a persons life the Holy Spirit starts reaching out to you thru thought...feelings...emotions...and at that time you are under convection...Jesus is knocking at your hearts door...drawing you to God...your creator...inviting you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Its that little voice in your head...your heart...that is telling you to change your ways...stop living for yourself....and to accept the free gift of salvation. Now for most folks...they just keep ignoring that calling and over time...the years...its grows more and more silent and dim...however...for some folks...they hear and accept that calling when they finally realize that their way is not the best way and they are ready to make a change and trust in Jesus. So at that time what we do...by the prompting of the Holy Spirit...we pray...we talk to God...and ask His forgiveness...now...thats not just words or a thought...that prayer...we have to pray and ask for that forgiveness from our heart...and mean it like nothing we ever said before...because...we can fool people but there is no pulling the wool over Gods eyes. And in that moment we prayer and acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God and also as God Himself...we repent of our sin filled life by asking for forgiveness...we are saved...we are born-again..and the Holy Spirit...the very spirit of God comes to live inside us! And now...its time for out with the old us and in with the new...and that be Jesus! We are now a new creation...we are "born-again"...we have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and we change. We dont keep living like we use to...because if we do...there has been no change and that prayer we prayed probably came from the mouth and not the heart. That belief...that prayer...our life changing....walking with Jesus everyday...is the difference in going to heaven and going to hell...because...a personal relationship with Jesus is the only way to heaven..and...there is no such thing as a part time christian...how are you living?
