I wonder how he can win unless the depended on documents that did not include disclaimers and can show they were fraudulent as opposed to overly optimistic. Also, how can he, unless he gains access to the books (the uncooked versions), prove they used the money for personal or other questionable uses?
Seems as if he was a cocktail party or in a bar sitting next to Conrad and in the alcoholic haze, believed the stories he heard. Should make for great testimony if it gets that far.
