The argument for being public vs. private should always be framed on a long-term benefits analysis, and not simply current funding needs (which may or may not be meaningful).

Hypothetically, if ASCK raises 100% of the required capital using say the SBA (non-dilutive to the current shareholder base), and management owns say 95% of the stock for the sake of argument, having a shareholder base provides an exit strategy at some point years in the future. Management could sell their stock (slowly liquidate into the market), or find a block buyer for all their stock holdings.
