While growing up across the street from our house we had a big property that went undeveloped my whole childhood until I reached around 16.

It was thick as can be with huge blackberries reaching to the sky.

After everyone got the easy pickings on the edge of the property us kids would grab 2x12 planks and go into the patch that way and get all the ones no one could get due to the thorns.

The planks worked perfect.

Lot of blackberry cobbler and pies due to those planks being used.
