Bar1080, thanks for your reply, it was kind, sad, knowledgeable and even a bit inspirational.

I am sorry to hear that people have killed themselves over losing their investments or life savings. I suppose I thought about doing that myself, but I don't have the wherewithal, to do that, so I'm am trying to live through my devastation.

Even though what happened to me was ultimately my fault and my responsibility, it happened because my gf had such a great influence on me...

I used to spend a lot of money on my gf, but whenever she could, she would nag me about being cheap, both in private and in public, among my co-workers, friends and even at church...

After being with her 24/7/365 for 2 years, I couldn't think straight anymore, because she took over my entire life, it wasn't just her nagging about me being cheap, it was her overall toxic personality. She would not allow me any free time to study stocks myself, even though I asked her multiple times, her answer would be "Oh, so now you don't love me and don't want to spend time with me?" That was what she thought, even if I were to try and read about stocks in her presence, in the same room, I guess anything that even momentarily took the focus of her was forbidden.

This ended up in an effort to prove that I wasn't cheap, so I went all in in GPRO and ended up losing lost it all. I was after a quick score, or to at least retain my initial investment.

I've been single for a couple of years now and have changed my life's strategy and my investment strategy.
