Innovation is always key. Canadians are every much as innovative as the USA. If they can innovate on shale, Canada can innovate at least equally on sands. This has always been my stance. With more resource to innovate on and much longer production per project of innovation the longer term Winner is Canadian Oil Sands. The perversion of many peoples thoughts pertain to the initial cost of development. This cost is high for oil sands unless calculated rationally on a cost per barrel over the long term. Stable price is the friend of long term production (this will come) Right now the market favors short term metrics. (small investment, quick return. This is gradually shifting back to longer term $ per barrel production cost. Canadian Oil sands production costs have decreased demonstratively over the years and I know of projects that are competitive long term with any oil producers. The key is to use technology to make all or nearly all competitive. Strata Oil is a ways off, but in a while from percolating, but in my opinion it will get there.,
