Go to a drywall building supply and get the real butt strips they will save you in the end.

Home Depot's strips which are called butt strips in the industry are pieces of CRAP!

The real butt strips have a leather like finish on one side and are hard so once you screw on your board they don't push in like HD's GARBAGE then all your time straightening out the wall is lost.

Buy a REAL butt strip and put it next to HD's garbage and you'll then see exactly why I'm saying this.

Same as their corner bead. GARBAGE!

Their corner bead is thinner metal and less width of paper which makes a difference for quality work.

They use to stock Beadex Corner bead.

HD years ago use to stock industry standard drywall products but over time they have slowly but surely went to buying less quality products.

When you think about the amounts they buy and how they can get a discount due to that quantity to begin with to then go to a piece of garbage product like their butt strips and corner bead that is greed on steroids!
