There was much more to the Bedro deal, from my admittedly limited perspective, than garnering "pharma" type cred. Maybe Bedro being the Pharma arm was the original plan, and maybe they've adjusted the plan as circumstances have changed. Consider Marc Wayne who is now heading up Canopy Health. Consider what Canopy learned about standardized growing practices and genetics which they have now applied to the rest of the company. Putting a dollar value to what Canopy has gained from that transaction is somewhat short sighted, imo. And the fact is, it could still play a very large role in the future if partnerships like the one in Brazil with Entourage continue etc...
