It is about making up a believable story with enough truth to have you believe the story. Stage a few pictures of equipment and those working in mines. Sprinkle in some pictures taken form the internet of diamonds etc. Make up a hero to save the day like Dredge- an expert in mining gold that never ever finds anything. If they ever did mine anything but shareholders I suspect they sold it or bartered it and used for themselves. If it fails, who cares, it's not their money.
