I thought about the same question. I think the patients - most likely have poor EPA:AA ratios having CVD in the first place. It will be interesting to see the actual before and after data, of EPA/AA ratios for the patients in this trial.

They can simply compare the control arm ratios with the active arm.
This should provide the evidence. Not to mention serum levels. Serum levels of EPA may be more important, body weight may be a factor in improving EPA/AA ratios.
