So this is your reason why climate change does not merit center stage.
By his own admission he does not spend much time on the issue, maybe 1 % of his time and energy, but because he wants to take the opposite side, you get to dismiss everything everyone else works at day in and day out. Besides this man is almost 93 years old, but this is why you claim that climate change is just a hoax.
Every company I worked for always had a challenge, that each day you would strive to find a better way of getting a task done. If I devoted just 1 % of my time to my job, I doubt I would of been very good at it, but that is the difference between climate scientist, and somebody who just wants to use a mathematical formula to discuss the issue.
I have mentioned this topic the past few years and now Russia and China are taking the lead in shipping in the Arctic. But please you are free to deny that climate change has had anything to do with the ice that has now melted, and the sea lanes that can now be used. A few years ago, the argument was that Arctic might be melting, but Antarctica was amassing more ice. Now that theory is being debunked, because the ice is also melting down there. Of course you are free to deny the pictures of what is happening, and you can go ahead and claim that mankind has nothing to do with any of this.
But as a reasonable man, I think I will side with actual scientist who go to these regions, do all of those measurements, take all of those pictures, and do all of that research and then make remarks that then can be discussed. To just take the approach of denying it gets pretty old.
I could go to Fenway Park, sit and watch a game, and tell myself that it is still the same old game and nothing has changed. Man has had no effect on the eventual outcome of this season. But I know that would not be true. Mankind is changing everything all around us, from the simplest task of a baseball game, to the cities both here in America, and all around the world.
So how do you explain all of these new rivers flowing in Antarctica, someone just leave the faucet on, and turned the temperature up so that the water did not freeze.
