I thought that at first too, I must admit until I spoke with the analytics fellow. See, what Ariana's analysis will help us shake out is not going to be results of the stuff we were testing for. That was all done manually in the past and no needles in haystacks were revealed, unfortunately.

What this will help us learn is all of the patterns "outside" of the required blood draws, which will make an AD sufferer respond better to our drug. In that way we can fashion ahead of time who will respond with flying colors - sort of like picking a jury ahead of a trial - you want a desired outcome and by God you will ask every question you can to get that outcome.

He explained that they can find patterns of how pandemics spread (which humans cannot because we can't keep track of all the possible people who come in contact with each other), how thieves can deduce strangers social security numbers using social media to very near matches (within a couple ending digits) by using this technique which we could not duplicate on the same scale.

Plus, a heck of a lot more applications.

It's really quite amazing, imo and I don't think it's overblown - it's almost foolproof if we get useful results!!
