Is MRLB on a death march?

What happened to this company? Was sitting around $5 not long ago. All I see is news on a $3M round of funding (debt) recently. Their annual report was OK (not the worst, not the best) for a company trying to develop a market for an FDA approved product that works.

Just trying to understand what is happening here before I purchase any shares? Is this a gift horse at $1 or a dead horse?
