Old shareholders can appeal but not likely to work

The problem is that they already had several opportunities throughout the process to somehow get something for the existing common shares. If it didn't work at those steps then it is unlikely an appeal would work at the end.

I do see there was an appeal by some kind of unofficial unsecured creditors, but I expect that will get adjudicated any day and then the effective date entered.
