That standard phrase is found in all of the 10-K's. There is no significance to the word reconciliation. (edited to add) No significance unless you believe hidden assets, *insert *theory*, etc. etc.

Liquidation basis accounting requires certain assumptions that may result in actual results being materially different from those that have been estimated.

All the QSR's and 10-K numbers are listed as though all the claims are approved and will be paid. That number changes as claims are allowed/settled/disallowed. The AT&T of roughly $9 million was settled for $3.3 million. That number will be adjusted and reconciled in the future QSR.

The Trust and counsel to certain employee claimants have agreed to amend the existing scheduling orders in the claims reconciliation litigation on several occasions to provide that all outstanding discovery deadlines would be adjourned, with the “change in control” hearing to be held in February 2018. As of the date hereof, the Trust has responded to 23 sets of requests for production of documents and 14 sets of interrogatories, has reviewed over 850,000 documents from approximately 120 custodians, and has produced more than 84,000 documents.

Prior to December 31, 2015, the Trust performed a final reconciliation of the amount received from litigation proceeds and the amount distributed to Reorganized WMI on behalf of LTI holders who elected to receive common stock in Reorganized WMI to settle their claims. It was determined that excess funds had been remitted to Reorganized WMI. Therefore, the Trust collected $594,000 from Reorganized WMI to be distributed to LTI holders who made the common stock election. As of December 31, 2015, $594,000 was recorded as Restricted Cash and a corresponding liability was recorded in Cash Held for Holders of Allowed Claims. Such funds were distributed to LTI holders who made the election, in February 2016, to supplement the distribution that was made on or about August 1, 2015.
