MMM's nicely beaten the market over the past 5 and 10 years. My guess is 3M will split soon to remove some of its overweighting in the Dow. OTOH, high stock prices are quite fashionable lately. Some of that's because of Buffett.

No blue chip wants to look like a crappy penny stock. 3M's $192 price is a badge of quality.
