Yes, everything does have a price. But there was little interest in the mine before, even when met coal prices were significantly higher. I doubt there will be much, if any, interest now, either.

They are working against a number of facts which make the mine unattractive. Costs are pretty high due to the distance between the mine and their primary markets. Transportation is not cheap, especially since China, the primary market, is now sourcing coal much more cheaply from Mongolia. As you admit, it is a small mine. The major miners want economy of scale, and larger mines are better able to adjust to market forces. Small mines are not, which is why they are unattractive to large miners. Large players are also not excited about the met market right now, as the price is so dependent upon the political whims of China. They are much more interested in commodities which are balanced by market supply and demand, not politics.
