Fred carted away 3 tonnes of dirt and ended up with 0 ounces of gold.

Fred has changed his estimate of the cost of recovering gold in his dirt field.
His previous estimate was "300" dollars per ounce.
His new estimate is "400" dollars per ounce. Based on $1000 a day for equipment.

Now that's a serious estimate.
