angelfund, these two papers are both in the Journal of Forensic Science - the one in the winter dealing with validation of the test.

There is also another paper. One of the WIPO patents refers to a paper "Frudakis et al, In Review, Human Heredity 2002." This apparently deals with allele frequency differences between racial groups. I have seen no further mention of this paper. The journal Human Heredity has a lot of articles dealing with linkage analysis, SNPs, population structure, etc. One of the editors is D.C. Rao (DNAP Scientific Advisor). The contents of issues of Human Heredity are listed here:
