NEW YORK, NY, Aug 01, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Big Apple Worldwide, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: BPWW) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Gary T. Rizzo to the Company's Board of Directors. Gary Rizzo is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Elabrient Surfaces, a division of Big Apple Worldwide. Elabrient Surfaces is a commercial interior design development and manufacturing company specializing in commercial wallcovering.
Prior to founding Elabrient Surfaces, Gary Rizzo held executive management positions with several New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed companies. Mr. Rizzo formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Muraspec North America, Executive Vice President of JM Lynne Company, Inc. (a Steelcase, Inc. company), and as the Director of International Sales and Marketing for Omnova Solutions, Inc. Mr. Rizzo holds his BBA from City University of New York's Baruch College and a MBA from Manhattan College.
