Scottrade update.

I went to my Carlsbad office on Friday as Sarah there has been helpful in sending requests for information regarding the fax memo that they received on Wendesday to restrict buying on IPRE. Her requests were not answered but Scottrade removed the restrictions on IPRE trading Thursday morning.
She resent the email while I was in the office Friday and she said that her and the other brokers mentioned that it was odd to receive that fax without an explanation, and it was for 3 stocks. Apparently it is not uncommon to receive memos for restricted orders but usually a reason stated. I also asked if Scottrade short sells stocks and she said that Scottrade does not short stocks but other firms do. That also may explain why Scottrade removed their restrictions before others. Even though Scott remove the restriction she is still trying to follow up on it and will call me on Monday. If she does not get a reply with a valid reason I will be convinced that it is due to an over short number. I also told her about Ameritrades reason and she was not informed of that.

Point is; If concerns are of manipulation then all firms would still be restricting online orders.

PS, joro please sell your shares and move on. You have lost faith and hope, and I see no reason for your posts. You seem to alone in your bashing. Just think, by selling your shares at a loss you will have less to lose and can make up the loss elsewhere.
