I agree with you completely ...

So , let's say the stock runs up with gold to 20-30 cents , then
the split takes effect and the price goes up to 40-60 cents .

Then "they" convert at 5 cents . Nice return for them .

( Yes , I understand that without "them" making this investment , the stock would probably stay under a nickel. )
