I wonder what Doug McKinnon did that would get him terminated? If he was doing a lackluster job, maybe this termination and replacement will be a good thing for the company. I'd be more worried if he quit than if he was terminated. Maybe this is a sign of the company growing and maturing. We shall see. It's pretty common in small startups where the original people are all tech oriented, for the leadership roles to be gradually replaced with more business/finance oriented type of people, or be replaced with people who can handle the higher pressure of a fast growing company.
