Do you know for sure that the stock was sold? When stock options are exercised, maybe because they are expiring and are in the money, does not mean that they have to be sold. They can buy the shares at the strike price and hold the shares. If this is not done prior to the expiration date then you loose the option to purchase the stock at the strick price. So again, was the stock sold?
