investorhub123 wanted to know how big the center assembly of the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 Front Bearing Housing is, NOT including the fan blades.
My guess was about 46" in diameter.

I don't believe that RR ever stated what material the FBH was made of. TiAl seems to be the material of choice for many aerospace applications right now . The EBM process can get the desired metallic structure consistently.
