ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Vuzix® Corporation (OTCQB: VUZI), a leading supplier of Video Eyewear and Smart Glasses products in the consumer, commercial and entertainment markets, is pleased to announce that it has commenced first volume shipments of its M100 Smart Glasses to Lenovo China. Vuzix has worked closely with Lenovo to develop the award-winning Vuzix M100 Smart Glasses, co-branded with Lenovo NBD (New Business Development) Group, for the Chinese marketplace to create an optimized Smart Glasses experience with enhanced operating systems for a growing ecosystem and application base. This version will be sold and marketed by Lenovo across China with further shipments expected to take place this fall.

Continuing the expansion of available M100 Smart Glass applications, this week SAP announced that it will be showcasing two forthcoming augmented reality (AR) apps at the CTIA 2014, held on September 9th-11th in Las Vegas. The SAP® AR Warehouse Picker mobile app and SAP AR Service Technician mobile app are designed to help simplify and improve the user experience and work processes by offering a hands-free working experience and streamlined process that, for example, allow warehouse picking as much as 2 times faster than current methods.
