From what I can tell, Rani Wu (Wu RangLin) was employed by Aerius as an engineer in China to work on the Aerius phone design from at least 2010 to 2012 according to references I found on this forum mentioning him.

Dates of references (not necessarily the same as the date of the posts):

The one dated 6/28/2011 announced the that the prototypes had been shipped:

LAS VEGAS, June 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aerius International Inc., (Pink Sheets:AERS) today announced prototypes of Aerius smart phones were shipped by their manufacturer in Shenzhen, China to Aerius. The Aerius engineer in Shenzhen Rani Wu also reported the phones were equipped with Aerius LogoLens that illuminates the carrier name when phones are in use

One would think that two cell phone prototypes would have been sent by FedEx. Obviously the PR was a lie.

New Aerius management claims that the company ran out of money and couldn't accept delivery of the two prototypes so a group of investors raised enough capital to have one of them delivered.

How much capital does it take to have one cell phone prototype shipped?

Why has a photo of this prototype never been made public?
