Excellent point, Spanks. The Best collection of many formidable nuggets were worth keeping in a museum, but the completely unmined mileage at the Ruby mine is considerably more than what was mined up to WW2. Another factor that favors current prospects over what was achieved by Best's team is the great advances made in the techniques for finding gold – quite a variety of them.

It cannot be excluded from the outset that NBRI may, in some respects, be able to better Best or even outbest Best.

1.5 pound? Best found them as large as 3.5 pounds.

I'll bet there are some 5 pounders left that haven't been found yet.
